Meet Suad Ismail

Suad is a graduate from Saint Mary's University, where she received her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota. Suad’s work experiences include Clinical Director at autism treatment centers, Hennepin County Senior Social Worker, Target Case Manager and Mental Health Counselor.

Suad Ismail is licensed through the state of Minnesota as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Suad is currently working on obtaining an additional license as a drug and alcohol counselor. She expects to receive that licensure by September 2023. Suad’s goal and mission is to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness, and to foster hope in individuals that struggle with mental illness. Suad has a passion to work in the Muslim American community.  Suad has more than 8 years working in the mental health field, serving diverse clients diagnosed with severe and persistent mental health disorders including: schizophrenia, major depression disorder, anxiety, bipolar, personality disorder, autism, ADHD and intellectual disability.

Meet Sahro Ismail

Sahro is an alumni of Saint Thomas University, having earned her Master of Arts in Autism Spectrum Disorder. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from University of Minnesota.

Sahro Ismail has a Minnesota Tier 4 educator license and has worked as a special education teacher for five years. Throughout her career, Sahro has supported a wide array of students, focusing on diversity and inclusivity. Her unwavering commitment to working with both minorities and children on the autism spectrum continues to shape her impactful contributions. Currently, Sahro is pursuing her certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, further solidifying her dedication to enhancing the lives of those she serves.

Empower Autism Center Inc. is a treatment center for children with Autism Spectrum,  ASD, and related conditions. Our aim is to provide culturally sensitive early intervention using evidence-based treatment. Our team tailors the treatment to the needs of the family and the child. Services are available in the home, in schools and at the Center.
